We rarely remember exactly what someone said, what they wore, or even sometimes their name. But we remember how that person made us feel.
We remember the warmth of someone who truly saw us.
The comfort of a space that felt safe.
You can walk into two rooms that look exactly the same, yet one feels heavy while the other feels light and welcoming. Most of us have experienced this without being able to explain it.
What we are connecting with is the energy around us.
The interesting thing about energy is that we already accept the existence of many things we can’t physically see. Wi-fi signals move through the air, so do radio waves – we can connect to the internet or listen to our favourite songs so we know they exist.
Energy works in much the same way.
Our thoughts and intentions carry a frequency which influences everything around us. Just as stress can be felt, calmness can too.
This is one of the reasons women’s circles have become such powerful spaces for connection and healing. Beyond the conversations, the candles, the meditation, there is something deeper taking place — an energetic experience.
Women gather not simply to talk, but to feel held, witnessed and connected again. When women are able to slow down, share openly and be genuinely present with each other, it changes the atmosphere in the room.
There's a common theme in the feedback I get from the women that come to my circles – and that is the comforting and uplifting energy they felt. Of course, it has to do with the beautiful women that attend, but I also do my part before hand to clear and enhance the energy in the room. I use Reiki to bring a gentle, nurturing energy to the space even before you arrive. I raise the vibration of the room and will often send healing through out the circle to help you feel safe and supported.
I should mention, the ability to heal is within everyone, and Reiki is one of the most gentle but powerful ways to reconnect with your inner healing ability. Its beautiful to watch how it can influence the way people feel – both in themselves and the surrounding space.
When we consciously work with energy — through meditation, Reiki, breathwork, intention or simply mindful presence — we begin participating more intentionally in the reality we create around us. Many holistic healing practices are based on the understanding that the body responds not only to the physical world around us, but also to frequency, vibration and light.
And in creating moments of stillness, presence and energetic alignment, we create space for healing to begin — emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Maybe that is why certain places stay with us forever.
Why some people feel unforgettable.
Why a women’s circle can feel like coming home.
Because long after details fade, the feeling remains.
